posted this on Crohn's and Colitis as well ... this board seems to be a little more active.

So, I went to my GP for a follow-up on Saturday. I was expecting him to tell me everything came back normal as usual. But, I was in total shock when he told me my blood tests came back showing inflammation ... I didn't even know what questions to ask because I was in lala land somewhere thinking about what he had said.
He's FINALLY sending me to see a Gastro, and is recommending that I get a scope done.

Now, the denial part. All weekend I have convinced myself that the inflammation is probably somewhere else within my body ... I was in a car accident a while ago, so I convinced myself that the inflammation must be from my back pain.
I'm afraid that going to a gastro is not only a waste of my time, but also a waste of the doctors time.

I was feeling crappy for a while, but for the past couple of days I've been ok (might have something to do with the fact that I've stopped eating veggies and fruits).

It's funny because for so long, I truly thought something was wrong besides IBS, but now that the proof is there, I don't want to believe it.

Is it possible for someone with IBS to show inflammation in their bodies ?

Still waiting for my stool samples to come back ... who decided people should do this test anyways ? it's SO disgusting!
Anyways, if something shows up in those tests, then maybe that will actually help me believe that something IS really going on.

Thanks for listening
