Well when we have dinner parties I usually take a casserole (apricot chicken, yummmmm, my favourite) or some fish/ chicken for a bbq and a salad. I LOVE roast veggie salads, my recipe is sweet potato, pumpkin, zucchinni, capsicum, red onion (I can tolerate roast onion fine) and eggplant roasted in the oven with a little olive oil, and then tossed in balsamic vinegar. DELICIOUS!
For dessert, last time I made a GF banana maple pudding, yummm, or I've made a GF chocolate pudding using dark chocolate so its DF. But you're sugar free aren't you? I'm just starting a sugar free/ fructose free diet to see if it helps, so desserts will be a thing of the past. Sigh.... nevermind, I'm more of a savourie person anyhow.
So do you have soy? I've got recipes for soy cream cheese and soy sour cream to add to dips and casseroles. I bought a recipe book from the Australian coeliac society recently and it also is for people with IBS, fructose malabsorption and lactose intolerance. It has some great recipes, I think restricted eaters just need inspiration
