Have a question. My PCP wants to prescribe Zithromax for my upcoming oral surgery. I can't schedule until I'm completely over my bronchitis. They (Oral Surgeon's office) said it could compromise my immune system otherwise. That's why I'm going through my PCP as he knows my medical history and how I react. My PCP is willing to call in the meds for me as we don't have dental coverage.

The Pharmacist told me that with IBS, all antibiotics will or can pose an IBS problem. To her knowledge, there is nothing I can take or do to avoid another possible attack. Is there "anything" that will help prevent an attack? I have alternating attacks (when I have any attacks) but the ones that send me to the hospital are the IBS-C.

Also, they want to give me a pain med and I'm hoping for insurance purposes since I do have medical that my PCP will be willing to call in a prescription for that too. I get horribly sick on pain pills so I won't take them. I have to be in bad shape to do so. There has been one in the past which is Percodan. I would think that at the most, I would only need 2 pills for that.

Now I'm getting scared. Help! Heidi
