Clyndamycin and IBS       03/01/05 09:39 PM Edit Reply Quote HeidnOut Reged: 02/15/05 Posts: 148 Loc: CA, USA Hi all! I went in for a follow up visit with my primary Dr. today. He said that he would have never given me Clyndamycin being that I suffer from IBS as it is hard on the gut. When my dog bit me back in January I had to go to Urgent Care and since I had problems with Amoxicillin, they gave me Cipro and Clydamycin. It was about a week or less that I had a severe IBS attack and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. My Dr. said if he has anything to say about it, he would have only given me the Cipro. Just an FYI for some of you who like me might not have known about Clyndamycin being so hard on the stomach. For what it's worth, I hope it has been up some help to anyone on the board.
