I have a question on thyroid, fatigue etc.       02/08/05 10:36 AM Edit Reply Quote FEMBETH Reged: 09/20/04 Posts: 85 I am not real sure on how to explain it but I was tested for a thyroid disease called Hashimotos where the immune system attacks the thyroid gland. I do have it but it is not at a point where I need medication. I am also on the lowest side of normal for enemia so not low enough to be on medication. I have been extremely fatigued. My docter said my blood work showed I was borderline Hyperthyroid that was about 2yrs ago. My gastro docter says I don't have the traits of Hyperthyroidism. It seems like as soon as I eat my head is nodding off.I am always cold (althogh I always have been)and the minute I get warm my eyes almost burn cuz they want to close. I seem to be ok if I am moving but the minute I sit down I catch my head nodding. I don't know if It might be something I am eating or could it be thyroid? I have a prescription for blood work but I have to wait a week or two to get it done. Does anyone have any idea why I can't make it through the day with out nodding off? Ps. I usually get 7 hrs of sleep. Has anyone else experience any of this before? Thanks for any input! I can't wait for test results I am so tired. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
