I have had gastritis since June of last year. I had blood tests, and upper gi, ultrasound, endescopy, colonoscopy, etc. to get this result. I have just been recently told that I have IBS as well. I was also given protonix. It does work, however I am afraid of being dependant on medications for the rest of my life. I wish that I could find something on a natural level that would work just as effectively. My gastro guy told me that it would take some experimentation to find this out. I am also amazed at how many people have digestive disorders. It makes me wonder what in the world is going on. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope the meds work for you soon.
