Welcome to the forum. That's too bad that you have IBS, but I'm glad you got it diagnosed so early. I agree with Mr. Computer that telling your friends you have IBS is the best thing to do. Honesty avoids hurt feelings and misunderstandings. You don't have to tell them all the icky details, just that you have a stomach problem called IBS and sometimes you get sick and have to stay home. No need to even mention the D word!
