Prior to beginning the IBS diet, I had a relatively healthy diet, but ate a lot of meat and fat, Taco Bell for lunch, etc. I am relatively slim (5'6" 138lbs). I stayed away from lots of starch, and ate a lot of soy and meat protein (NOT Atkins) and huge salads, and other veggies. It made me satisfied so I could last to the next meal.
Now, on the diet, I feel so hungry and deprived all the time! It is making me crabby, and sad. I have also started eating really fast because of my hunger... I normally eat about twice as slowly as others.
How do I satiate my hunger on this diet which is so low fat? I simply cannot eat all the time at work, and pretzels are getting really boring. Can we eat Luna bars? This reminds me of when I tried being vegetarian in my 20s, but I could not do it because I was so hungry all the time!

PLEASE HELP!
