I have taken a low dose of amoxicillin without very bad results just general yuckiness but no cramping. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THEM ON A FULL STOMACH though. Anti-inflammatories absolutely kill my tummy. I recommend phoning your pharmacy/drugstore or even explaining your sensitive stomach to your surgeon.
