Re: colonoscopy       01/02/05 03:45 AM Edit Reply Quote kateL Reged: 12/14/04 Posts: 35 Loc: Camano Island, WA I'm new to this forum and not known but I did have a colonoscopy six months ago. I don't have any suggestions for the bowel prep except start early. I had miralax and gatorade ice(never want to see that stuff again)and was still running before the test. I wonder if IBS people need a little less, seemed a little like overkill to me. The suggestion I do have is make sure that you truly are sedated during the procedure. I wonder if I was because I remember the pain and feeling exactly where the scope was during the exam. When I told them it hurt they only held my abdomen in the area of the scope.
