I use it each day but am not sure what it does! How is that for wacky? I'll explain. I was recovering from a really bad IBS-D flare-up, and heard commercials for DA-IBS. I bought some from Walgreens ($8 for a month's supply so we are not talking big money here, people). It immediately stabilized my recovering condition and I had the best formed stools I have had since childhood. If a stool was a male, these would be the male model Fabio. So in a wacky way, I started using his name to describe a good digestive day, e.g., "I am having a Fabio day", meaning that the stool was normal and (only an IBS sufferer could understand the next word) gorgeous! Yes, if Fabio was a turd, he would be the best! Sorry....how crude!
Anyway, I still got another IBS flareup about 2 months later, even though I had continued to take DA-IBS each day.
So for me it seems to give me ultra normality if I am not suffering from a severe attack, but it does not prevent such attacks. So is it worth it? Yes. I think the cost is cheap enough to warrant it.
Please note: I have not had what I call a "Fabio" since childhood, so I have to assume it was related to my taking DA-IBS. I am disappointed that this little blue pill didn't safeguard me from further attacks, but in the remission stage it brings me to a point of health I have not experienced since childhood. That's better than no help at all.
