1. Type of IBS, D, C or Both? Mainly C but worse symptom is the spasms/cramping/pain I get when I eat wrong foods or get over stressed. Also bloating/gas is big. 2. How many times do you go to the bathroom a day? 1 or none, sometimes 1 a week!!! Getting much better lately. 3. How often do you get an attack? I have not had a real attack in over a week but deal with other symptoms daily (gas/C) 3. What other symptoms do you have? Think I covered them mostly. 4. When did you first got IBS, what was the trigger? I can't remember not being this way, don't know. 5. What foods can't you tolerate? Still pinning that down, but so far the very things Heather talks about - high fat, dairy, raw roughage, to name a few. 6. What are you currently taking for IBS? Ground flax seed, acidophilus, enteric coated peppermint, calcium/magnesium combo, eating fresh papaya daily for enzymes 7. Were you officially diagnosed? What test did your doctor run? Yes, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and even abdominal CT scan. Scopes found precancerous polyps and gastritis in stomach, but otherwise GI system is clear and classic IBS. 8. Does your IBS depress you? Sometimes. Plenty else to be thankful for and trying to focus on those things and on the needs of other people.
