Re: being on the pill....       12/08/04 06:44 AM Edit Reply Quote Kimm Reged: 03/10/04 Posts: 1171 Loc: Toronto, Ontario, Canada I'm on ortho-tricylen as well and I always take 2 packs in a row...which means I only get my period every 2 months instead of every month. I've never had break through bleeding. If you miss a pill though when you're on your 2nd pack then you'll probably get your period (this happened to me last month and I ended up having my period for 3 weeks!!)....but as long as you take your pills on time and don't miss any then you should be just fine. My doc said there was no problem doing this....she told me that you really only need 4 periods a year to stay healthy. I get 6....but everyone does it differently. Good luck!!
