I've tried Gax-X and it doesn't do much for me. It doesn't work on intestinal gas. And many people misunderstand what Gas-X does (and maybe Phazyme does this too). It takes small gas bubbles and air pockets and turns them into one large air pocket to make gas easier to pass. I was taking Gas-X like crazy until I realized that I was spending $6 a package and not getting much relief. That's more than a pack of smokes, and now that I've QUIT! I'm not about to spend that cig money elsewhere with no benefit. I got the suggestion of chewing fennel seeds (after meals) off another IBS Web site, and tried that with some success. I chew a small palmful of seeds until they are basically much, then spit out the wad. Weird taste, but you get used to it. HTH!! -------------------- ~jules Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
