I hear ya... am in the same situation as you.. drinking like a fish (water that is ), eating oatmeal, veggies, salads, taking acacia etc. I'm a competitive cyclist, so exercise wise, I believe I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing... and I understand your frustration! I'm thinking about going to an accupuncturist again, (I was helped with bunch of food allergies, that I had taken for IBS earlier this year - and he helped some with the constipation), see if they can help me. I'm also taking probiotics again. It's hard.. I feel like I'm doing all the right stuff, eating soluble and even more insoluble fiber, drinking, exercises, going to the bathroom when I feel an urge, but being disappointed oh so many times again. I'm starting to believe it's all in my head, that I'm so conditioned to being constipated, that I indeed am.. does that make sense? Anyway, I'm getting tired of trying all these different things again.. oh, sometimes I'll eat very spicy food, because that seems to help a little bit.. My body also reacts differently to things from day to day. Like some days if I don't eat but just drink liquids before say 8:30 or so (I get up at 6), then I'll go. Other days, that doesn't work.. and then there are days that I go right after eating my oatmeal. So.. sorry, not very helpful, but just wanted to let you know you're not the only one who's frustrated at no results even though we seem to be doing all the right things! have a good one!
