I have only ever had 1 yeast infection (thankfully) but if you are prone to them it does seem possible. The DR told me that the yeast multiplies in warm, wet environments. Even though as you said the heating pad wasn't "down there" I'm sure it probably got a little warmer the usual. Yuck, just what you needed when your tummy is upset too!
