There are some things on the list of okay foods that some of us can't eat and vice versa. Like I have found I can only eat certain types of apples. Oatmeal is another tigger for some. There are some people who have dairy on the boards but I would have to say for the most part it causes trouble. My little nephew who is only 3 months is having a hard time with dairy, he gets all gassy, etc. And the nurse told my sister that is could take at least a week or more for the dairy to leave his system and it could be the same for her. So sometimes D attacks can happen right away and other times it might be some time. I know this isn't very encouraging it will take time for you to figure out what you can eat and what you can't. I found the three things that worked best for me(IBS-D) was change of diet, SFS, and 50 mg of nortriptylene.
