Can Traumatic Event Cause IBS?       06/12/03 01:38 PM Edit Reply Quote mda5905 Reged: 05/22/03 Posts: 12 Loc: NYC I've read where many people get IBS when they are young. Is it possible for a traumatic digestive event to lead to IBS. I'm 32 and about three years ago I went to Martha's Vineyard and ate a lot of pizza about 20 mins later sitting at an outdoor concert I had to run to the bathroom, unfortunately there were none around, I don't need to into details after that. However, ever since that event my system has never been right and now I have to go to the bathroom every morning about 2-3 times. I'm using the diet and just began to take fiber supplements after getting over the fear that they were laxatives and would make me worse. Thanks. Matt Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
