It's what I use to stop gastritis pains and suffering from my rolling stomach. I hate that this doctor lumps sugar users into the same category as McDonalds bingers, soda chuggers and grape jelly freaks. There have been days where I couldn't eat anything except a little sugar dissolved in warm water. Sugar also cures hiccups-- not only is it an anti-spasmotic for the stomach but it works on the diaphram the same way too. That's an old bartender trick too, for alcohol-induced hiccups. I am tired of the fact that just because I'm American, it's automatically assumed I'm overweight, have no impulse control, and eat badly, scarfing down crappy processed foods and unlimited sugar delivery systems like hohos and big gulps. Not all of us give themselves type 2 diabeties, and I'm sick of sweeping generalizations like "sugar is poison because..." Yeah, and all doctors are helpful miracle workers.
