Hello dear friends
I haven't been on the boards for over two weeks as I have been busy moving to New York City from London to start a new life with my husband here (he is a New Yorker).
The holy bowels have been slowly improving after very strict dietary work following a horrendous summer of shocking nausea, with ibs A...awful. Shiver just thinking about it.
10 days ago I decided to go off the pill which I had been on for 5 years, just to try to see its effect on my ibs. I always had great periods with little pms and was regular as clockwork. My sex drive had also disappeared in the last year.
From the second I gave up the pill my moods have become fantastic and more stable and happy then for years. My tummy also feels calmer...less gurgling and churning HOWEVER...there I am feeling all good and today I get the urge to go...its normal consistency, but straight after pooing out comes that awful post poo shaky nausea, followed ten minutes later by hunger so bad I think I will faint. So I eat some baked chips. Followed by another uncomfortable urge to go and more nausea. What the hell is this post poo nausea????? Who else gets it? I HATE it. I much prefer pre poo nausea.
So I am feeling kind of disheartened because there I was thinking I was really onto something with giving up the pill and I haven't done any dietary no nos....for those of you that stabilised....was it a gradual process of good days slowly outweighing bad days....or was it sudden disappearance of symptoms. I want to keep my hopes realistic. Every time this happens to me I get so down again, and I want to stay positive.
Does anyone think it would be worth trying antispasmodics to help with that awful post poo nausea??
i missed you all a lot and am so glad to be back on the internet!!!
Thanks and love XXXX
