Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | First (sort of) IBS attack in 3 years!

I have been eating everything right for 3 years now, and not one attack. But last Saturday....something in the local newspaper got me so annoyed, upset and freaked out that I started to have an attack about 30 mins later. Fortunately I remembered to take Imodium, but I still ahd to endure about 15 mins of it before the meds kicked in.

ARGH! This was an entirely stress-caused attack! The diet was easy to control, but not the stress.

The thing that got me upset (just so you understand what was going on) was a letter to the editor by a member of a local group that supports a terrorist organization in Northern Ireland. The reason I got so upset is because this same gorup killed the father of a good friend of mine in that country, and also killed a guy I was dating when I spent a summer there many yrs ago. It ate my stomach apart to see this guy praising the terrorist as if he were some sort of hero...when I KNEW some of the people he and his group had killed...people I knew.
