HI LauraSue, Thanks for writing! I am so glad that the IBS diet helped you. I read it all and thought "Wow! This makes sense." My Mom also has fibro and IBS-C. I am sending the diet to her, though don't know if she do it. She is more stubborn than I and old habits die hard. She hardly eats at all and is almost crippled by the fibro. He back, legs, feet are so bad that she can hardly walk (She is 65). I get some bad eating habits from her. I don't eat and have typically filled my energy needs with soda, tea, and no food until a little dinner and a bagel late at night (with cream cheese). No one, even the Drs seem to believe that I am not a chronic overeater- My family says I barely ingest enough to feed a bird. I have my metabolism so low from not eating and gain my only energy from sugary soda. I thought maybe the Aktins could pull me out of that. I have always been a fruit and vegy eater and besides those- rice, potatoes, cheese and eggs made up my growing up diet. (I ate no meat). Now, I can't tolerate the eggs or cheese, which I love, and bought into the THOUGHT that carbs were BAD! There is hope in sight, at least for the IBS part. I can see that now! How great is that!
Thanks for writing! Keep your great progress up! Cynthia
