It's probably really a little too soon to tell for sure, but I'm tentatively going to say that the Lexapro IS helping my IBS.
I can't eat "anything I want", and I'm still following Heather's diet carefully, BUT... I've been really bad about taking my SFS, and even worse about eating insolubles (I don't think I've had a vegetable this entire month! ), and I'm actually NOT CONSTIPATED. I'm an IBS-A, but found myself more on the C side of things if I didn't eat lots of vegetables and take the SFS religiously... so not having that problem pretty much tickles me pink. (Although, yes, I know, I need veggies to be healthy, LOL! I'm working on it, I promise.)
And yes, the D/cramping side effect has gone away completely, too.
Anyway, I just wanted to leave that small update. I'm actually off to my doctor's in 1/2 hour for a followup on the Lexapro... I'm 99.9% sure she'll leave me on it as-is. I feel pretty darn good.
