My doctor did bloodwork, stool samples (lots of fun) and an abdominal exam. All of my tests came back normal so a colonoscopy was not recommended. I talked to one of my coworkers, who is a doctor. He said that as long as I keep getting better from the things I am doing to deal with IBS not to worry. But, if my symptoms do not improve to go back to the doctor for more tests.
