Yes, but I was very pro-active and aware of my body. I am the type of person that has to fully understand things. If the doctor puts me on a RX or makes a diagnosis. I don't automatically assume he is correct because I have come across a few bad ones. I begin reading and researching the drug and the side affects. I felt like a different person on Depo-Provera. My face and body swole up and I became very moody...I didn't like the feeling and because I felt so bad about myself I was taking it out on my husband who is the kindest, most supportive person...it just wasn't fair to him. Now, I love my Gyno. and what I like the most about him is the fact that he includes your spouse in everything so my husband understood what was going on. As soon I as put on 5 lbs. (which didn't take long) I immediately weaned myself off of it with a weaning schedule (I don't recommend anyone do this cold turkey) and contacted a Naturopath. Once I saw a Naturopath I began reading about natural medicine and whole grains. I changed my diet and was later hired by the Naturopath to run the Natural Pharmacy. It was a very interesting job and I learned so much. I hope this helps you out. Feel free to e-mail me should you have more questions. I sooooo sympathize with you as hormone therapy is such a difficult thing. I have had 4-5 surgeries both female and colon related. I had stage 4 endometriosis which caused terrible adhesions which wrapped itself all over my colon and caused alot of havoc.
