The colonoscopy should be no problem for you - you might ask your pharmacist about the mild pill laxative versus the phosho-soda drink. Most pharmacists are willing to share "information". Maybe it's a new technique that they're finding is just as effective as the older way. As for your parents and the food issue, have you considered keeping a diary / log / calendar of your diet and any attacks? Maybe if you could "show" your parents something concrete (no pun intended!), they'd be more supportive. Keep sharing the "written" stuff from Heather - that's a great idea. It can help keep the emotions out of the situation! But try not to get too wrapped up in their approval or support - just keep quietly, respectfully doing what you need to do for your health, and hopefully they'll see the results in time.
