As far as I understand it, you can get a pain response (with IBS at least) straight away because your mouth is part of your digestive system and it triggers a GI response so your body's ready for the food. Therefore, if you get over-the-top GI resonses to food, then you can get pain straight away. Heather or Shawn are the best people to ask about this - I'm a bit out of my depth!

Can you try just eating one possible trigger at a time? This should help you work out what your triggers are.
