A water glass will work, or a glazed cup will work, but best if it's unglazed pottery. Put a small bit of seeds (like a half teaspoon) on the kitchen counter. Put the cup over them and press down gently, grinding around in a circle a couple times. Scoop crushed seeds off the counter with your hand onto a saucer or into a cup or teapot (or a coffee filter) and pour hot water over them. Also good for crushing anise seeds or cardamom seeds.
