A few possible problems...

Hi Shirl, don't feel silly asking questions! There are a few possible problems with that salad. First of all, salads bother a lot of IBSers because they're so high in insoluble fiber, so I'm assuming this isn't the whole meal? Because whole meal salads are pretty much a no no. It's usually possible to have a small salad after a high soluble fiber meal, though. As for this one, the bacon dressing would be a problem right off the bat because bacon is made of pork and is very high in fat... huge trigger. Plus most salad dressings are made with lots of oil. If the dressing is simply honey and mustard that would be okay, but you'd better ask. Sorry I can't give you better news! You could always make an IBS safe version of this using soy or turkey bacon and a low fat dressing and eat it after your meal!
