Hi and welcome!
Are you IBS C or D or A? If you haven't already you should see a GI doctor to make sure it is IBS you have and not something else. I also recommend reading Heather's book Eating for IBS to get started. This website is a very useful tool with a lot of knowledgeable people that can help. Here are some basics for eating...
Some regular diet ideas would be oatmeal, plain rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, french bread, chicken, ground turkey, soy milk, rice milk, or almond milk. Anything that has soluble fiber and try and stay away from foods with a high soluble fiber content until you are stable like certain vegetables, red meat, dairy products, caffeine. I don't know if you take a fiber supplement like Citrucel, Benefiber or Heather's acacia fiber. That's a big help for some with IBS (it is for me). I also recommend peppermint tea or fennel tea.
I would also recommend posting things like this on the IBS diet board and more people will be able to help!
Good Luck!
