I believe it is 2 cups oats and 4 1/2 cups water with a dash of salt. If you like your oatmeal dryer add less water maybe 4 cups. You must buy non-instant oats. Add the sugar before you eat it, not in the pot. I like to add dried apples and a dash of cinnamon.
