You're in luck -- there are tons of IBS-safe sugary treats out there. I'll just give you a rundown on my favorite recipes ... nearly all of them are available in the recipe index, which you should definitely look over.

Junior Mint Brownies (scroll down towards the end of the post -- these are fantastic, very chocolatey and minty with an actual "brownie" texture)

Black Bean Brownies (sounds gross, I know, but these are the richest-tasting IBS-safe brownies I've ever had -- just make sure you strain the bean puree to catch any bits of skin)

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies (I actually make these without the chocolate chips and use extra peanut butter -- they totally satisfy my PB cookie cravings! my favorite quick dessert to make)

Cake Mix Cookies (Duncan Hines mixes are no longer safe, so you'll have to scout out a new brand -- I like to do yellow cake mix and then vanilla frosting with sprinkles on top ... mmm)

Chocolate Chip Cookies (THE BEST safe chocolate chip cookies I've ever had -- if you can find dairy-free white chocolate chips, you can also use those instead and roll the raw dough in sugar before you bake -- very yummy)

No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies (these are good, but they might be tough to handle if your daughter has a hard time with IF)

Fat-free Oatmeal Cookies (I omit the raisins and double the cinnamon -- they're fantastic and even people who can eat 3-sticks-of-butter-fudge will gobble them)

Peanut Butter Fudge Cups (these are nice to lend a bit of variety to the bars and cookies -- they're quite yummy and addictive)

There are actually a few fudge recipes out there that are safe. I posted this one -- Rich Cocoa Fudge -- before I got a chance to try it. I did eventually try it but it didn't turn out. I used Silk soy milk and I think that might have been part of it. I have a recipe for peanut butter fudge that I thought I posted, but I did a search and can't find it, so maybe I'll post that one.

Rice Krispy treats are good -- follow the directions on the box but only use 2 T of margarine. I also like to use extra marshmallows. Organic Rice Krispies are safe and don't have HFCS if that bothers your daughter.

There are a few sugar cookie recipes in the index that you can use to make cut-out cookies, but I've never tried any of them so I can't attest to how good they are.

Hope that helps. Good luck and I'm so glad to hear your daughter is doing better.
