People brought me meals but I was just very specific. I only really had 3 meals dropped off and only one person brought me ham. One made chicken soup and another friend brough me homemade spaghetti sauce that lasted us 2 or 3 meals lol. It actually was very helpful.

There are books you can get from the library to help you figure it out. I've been meaning to get it from my library but just keep forgetting. I'm sure there are more than one but the one is called Once a Month cooking. There are also a lot of websites if you search once a month cooking or freezing meals. A lot of them seemed to be casseroles though when I was searching. I froze leftover chicken soup before and it was pretty good when we had it again. The noodles were a little mushy but I guess noodles can sometimes be difficult.

As far as how long, it depends on what you are freezing. You can also search online to find out that information and I'm sure it would be in that book too.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too early to do the meals now. Do it when you are feeling up to it because you may not feel or be able to do when you get closer to the end. You can even make extra food when you cooking dinner and freeze the extras.
