I haven't made Heather's recipe, so I'm not sure how much sugar is in it... you may need less sugar, honestly, I think ripe pears are a whole lot sweeter than apples. Also, is there any kind of added liquid to the recipe? If so, you'd probably decrease that, as pears are juicier than apples. I think it would be *really* tasty, honestly.
