I believe it says for lower fat recipe reduce the water to 1 cup and add 1/3 cup of applesauce. The box aready has some fat in it so replacing all the oil with applesauce will be fine. If you follow those instructions and then use 6 egg whites for the 3 whole eggs you will be all set.
