-gotta start a new way of cooking contigent with IBS-friendly foods. I'm starting from literally nothing, will be preparing meals for one, and would appreciate suggestions on cooking supplies.

Cooking techniques, modifying recipes for correct servings, and finding recipes (thanks to this website & other sources) can be done on my own.

Most of my cooking experience has been frying (a definate no no, now), so I need to learn how to cook with equipment other than a pan. -will need to fill a kitchen for a "single man in a small apartment" within a year or two.

Certain planned items for purchase:

crockpot (about 2 quarts)
rice cooker
soup pots

Any suggestions and resources (such as books to be purchased) would be appreciated. Thanks & I'll try to return the favor, somehow.

Dumas.
