I just need to vent....

I took our son's car into the local Goodyear place yesterday for an oil change, and the guy tells me I need 4 new tires!!! When I reminded him that the car only has 24,000 miles on it, he tries to tell me someone must have put old tires from their yard on it before we bought it used!!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry----we bought it not long ago from a very reputable dealership and it was pre-certified and the tires were fine then.

So I took it to the dealership this morning (not saying anything about this to them) and they told me I needed to have the tires BALANCED. I said, "I don't need new tires?" And they said, "No! They're fine!"

Needless to say, I'm furious with the Goodyear place. I called the manager and told him I did not appreciate his technician trying to sell me 4 new tires----when it wasn't necessary! Especially when the guy starts making up this story about someone putting old tires on the car!!!!!!

The manager asked me to bring the car by later so he could look at the tires. I think I will---and I hope he fires that technician.
