Yeah, my doctor was in this morning and we had some patients, but he's gone for the day!
Bifocal contacts are different than bifocal glasses. Most brands of bifocal contacts have the "bifocal" area in a ring around the entire outside of the lens. The lens in weighted so when you look down to read, the lens doesn't float up to far. They have come a long way in bifocal contacts in the last few years. They still won't work if you have astigmatism and need a toric lens though! My doctor, actually fits what he calls "modified monovision." Monovision is the alternative to bifocal contacts, you actually wear one distnace lens and one close lens. This sounds really odd, I know, but it works for a lot of people! Modified momovision, is wear you have one distant contact and one bifoacl contact. My doctor is almost 65 years old and thats what he wears all day long at work!
BL-just remember, that you do have some dryness to your eyes. When we read or work on the computer for long periods of time, we tend not to blink as much as we need. This will make the contacts dry out faster. If they start getting uncomfortable or your vision starts getting blurry, use the re-wetting drops! Think of the re-wetting drops as lotion of your eyeballs! Just like you put hand lotion on, when those eyeballs start getting dry, you gotta lub'em up too!
I'm so glad these are working for you! And a cute doctor also, BONUS!!
