Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Scary Freaking morning at my house

Little background - just got out of the hospital with vomiting/bloody d on Thurs & am trying to get back to something like normal

. I had a setback last night of the vomiting so I took some heavy duty medicine last. This morning at 6 am I heard someone knocking at the door, unfortunately the only way you know who is at the door is to open it or open the shades & look out the window. I opened the door & there was a man there in his boxer shorts (with just a little bit of flesh showing) telling me he needed help for his family. I told him I was sick & couldn't help him & shut & locked the door. I went back to sleep on the couch. I did not wake my husband, call the police, I went back to sleep. When my husband got up I told him what had happened, he told me I should have never answered the door & I should have gotten him. My husband went to get the Sunday paper & he found the guys regular street shorts, wallet & cell phone laying on the back of my car. My husband was like he had something planned, why would he have taken off his regular clothes. He called the police & I talked to an officer, I told him I should have not answered the door & he said someone knocked on the door & you answered it; thats what people do. He told me the most important thing I did was shut the door. When I told my husband what the officer said, he agreed. I still feel bad that I put my family in harms way, but I do thank God for it turning out ok. The police came & took his clothes, they said they would deliver them, but he is from out of state so he will have to go to the police station. I told my husband we had never had contingency plans for a man showing up on your doorstop in boxer shorts with his pee-pee showing a bit
