Hiya, For LauraSue, I know what you mean about earning more respect for standing your ground.. And I won't go behind her back about it. What I said to the PC wasn't even about my grievance, it was just about the different shift allowance I would apply for. But I will definitely keep my mouth shut to the rest of the office about anything regarding this sort of thing. For Bev, I think you may be right... I do want to keep this job.. it pays me awesome money, and I only need to do it for a while. I think my new plan might be to just go to her innocently and say, "Now that I am on a new shift rotation, I have to tell Human Resources so I can be put on the proper shift allowance". She probably doesn't realise it, but she has to pay me so much more if I do the shifts. Then I'm not complaining, I am just 'alerting Human Resources' because that's what it says to do in my contract. Then I figure she'll either say Okay, and I'll get paid more so I won't mind doing the shifts, or she'll say No, and just put me back on normal shifts. Then I don't have to be confrontational. Sound okay??? I am so bad about stuff like this. I mean, they'll find out what she's doing eventually but I can't guaruntee they'll give me all the back-pay they'll owe me by then. --Steph
