Do you like it better than the old job??? I think the fact that you are new is probably part of it. They are probably putting you through all this toughness just to see if you can handle it. The boss probably just wants to make sure you know she is "boss". If it was me and I thought I might like the job I would take the crappy shifts at least at first. If after a time you feel you just can't take it and they won't change the shifts to be more fair then you should probably look for a different job. Sometimes life just isn't fair, is it??
