"If we go there I may never want to come back home. EVER."
That's EXACTLY what happened to us! I'm not kidding. We fell in LOVE with the area, oh yeah! If you stay on the WaterLily, and read the guest book, you'll find our note in there (3 years + 5 months ago) in which we praised the place and said we had finally found the area where we wanted to retire -- and would be looking for a float home nearby. And that's EXACTLY what we did! In fact, the owners of the B&B introduced us to our realtor, who was a personal friend and totally understood what we wanted -- he took us right to our new house!
We bought a float home, just down the river aways from the B&B. In fact, here's a picture: web page
We loved it there. We moved in September 10, just hours away from 911. As we were standing over all the moving boxes, we got the news. I sat down, in total shock, and it seemed everything just hit me -- what the hell was I doing in a foreign country when I belong in the States?! We sold the property 10 months ago.
But we didn't move far. Our new home is only an hour's drive from the float home in B.C. I couldn't tear myself away from the incredible scenery and magnificent weather up here -- no way!
But I digress. This B&B in Ladner is the PERFECT spot to spend a honeymoon or a special anniversary. If you love scenery, great food, terrific people, and fabulous weather, I can't recommend anything better. But again -- WARNING -- you'll fall in love with the place, just like we did.
Bev
P.S.: Another warning: this B&B, ever since being featured on TV, has been booked solid. It's VERY difficult getting reservations. So if you know when you want to go, book it -- don't delay! And be sure to tell Will or Barb (they'll answer the phone) that Bev & Don sentcha!
