Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hello all!
I am just pouting 'cause I had a big, stupid day. First, I got to work and the string of my underwear BROKE! Yup, just snapped right off (I will no longer be buying cheap knickers!) so I had to STAPLE it back together. After that, I caught my thumb on said staples twice and tore bits of skin off and it's all swollen and horrible now.
THEN I had to go in the police car. And I was okay for the beginning, riding around a bit.. then I started to feel a bit queasy as it was really hot and stuffy in the car and my window wasn't open. So then we got a call. And RACED around the streets for a while and I thought I was going to die. I wasn't scared or anything, the speed didn't bother me... it was the lurching, and turning, and hills and I felt my stomach go right into my throat.. and then towards my mouth and thought, "Uh oh!" but it's not like I could ask them to pull over when they are in pursuit of someone so I just stared into my lap, thinking, 'I will not throw up in this police car.. I will not throw up in this police car..' and then when we FINALLY slowed down, I asked if I could go back to the station after we finished that call. So I only lasted until 4, but that was well enough for me!! My legs were so wobbly and my body was shaky by the time I got back to my desk and it took me about half an hour to stop feeling like I was gonna puke - I am so glad I didn't eat anything before I got in the car!!
The rest of my day was pretty normal, thank goodness, and I am going to watch Big Brother (UK) and go to bed soon.
