Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Period pain is making me grumpy!

Hi all,
I just wanted to whine for a minute to all you girls out there about my period pain being SO BAD. I used to live on Ibuprofen whenever I got my period, but now I don't take them and I'm not sure how I would react to paracetemol (I think it's the same as tylenol, not sure.. they don't have tylenol over here) so for my last few periods, I have just suffered through it. Today I feel SO BAD, though, that I might give in and try the paracetemol. I have been lying in bed for about an hour now with the heating pad on my belly, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. My cramps are so bad that I can feel them in my belly, sides and back, and down my legs? Does anyone else get the pain down their legs? Like, they feel all achy and stuff. And I'm so grumpy and bloaty and I feel like I'm gonna throw up. Sometimes I hate being a girl!!
Anyway, I just wanted to whimper here for a bit 'cause my boyfriend isn't really very sympathetic and thinks we should spend the day cleaning... I don't wanna clean, I wanna lie around and get pampered and do whatever I want!! Ahem, okay, so I'll grow up now and go get the vaccuum and stop complaining.
