Hi Steph!

You are toooo cute.

The house is still not finished, can you believe it? We're getting verrrrry close to the closing; only 38 more days! The builder has 4 crews down there, all working at once, trying to get it done: the floor and ceiling mouldings are being installed, the ceramic tile flooring in all 3 bathrooms, all electrical fixtures, kitchen cabinets, and tile hearth and fireplace surround. The porch isn't finished because the wood for the railings hasn't been delivered, and God knows WHERE the garage door installer disappeared! Yesterday, the builder called to tell us the king-size fridge we picked out won't fit, so we had to go fridge shopping yesterday for a smaller version. The one we chose, that fits in the space perfectly, won't be available until September, so we'll have to take the fridge we have now, and sell the condo sans fridge. Then, when the new fridge arrives, we'll have a "backup" in the garage. Lots of room, though, to fill up on beer so that when my best friend comes to visit from California I'll be ready for her!

We're real busy, running down to the new property and picking up after the contractors. (It's a helluva workout!) Don and I are also trying to fix up this condo we're in so we can put it on the market when we move out. Since Don refused to go anywhere near the ugly wallpaper in the kitchen, I waited for him to go off to work one day and removed it all myself, then the next day he went to work I painted the kitchen -- what an improvement! He helped me paint the bedroom, moving all the furniture out of the way, then moving it all back after painting, and the other day we did the bathroom. We still have the living room to do! ARGH! When Don went to work day before yesterday, I got out an old toothbrush and some Chlorox and scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom vinyl floors, trying to remove ages of ground-in grime. (This condo used to be a rental.)

Yes, all my curtains are finished and packed away. The rag rug for the dining room ended up being a large throw rug for the bathroom; my tendonitis wouldn't permit me to continue with it, so we ordered a 7-foot braided rug for the dining room (which hasn't come yet). I'm still packing, but only a few boxes a day. No time, no time.....

It's all real exciting for us right now, a very happy time in our lives. After a hard workout down there, picking up all that debris, we go down to the lake and sit by the launching ramp, eating our lunch and watching all the boats go out, anxiously thinking of the day very soon when we'll be launching our rowing shell and enjoying the lake ourselves.

I got back on the SFS track -- thanks to our Ms. LS. But I'm taking Benefiber instead of the Acacia, and only a very low dosage. So far I'm doing just fine with it.

You are so sweet to remember all my "stuff." How're YOU doin'? What's happening in your life? Have you gained a little weight?

Thanks again for your post, Cutie!

Bev
