Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Need to Vent or i am going to explode!

Im so upset right now. I will try to make this as short as i can.My 8 yr old daughter came home from school yesterday with a note that says who her next year's teacher will be.Well,its someone i DO NOT want her to have for a teacher!I know this sounds very "jr.high" of me, but i hated this girl thru high school,she always thought she was so superior to everyone else,she treated others badly,etc,,,well she still walks around with that same attitude only know she is a teacher at my daughter's elementary school.She gave my aunt's little boy the hardest time a few years back to the point that he no longer wanted to attend school.....Now i find out my daughter is getting her next year,,,my first thought was " OH HELL NO!!" and called the school right away to talk to the principal,well of course she wasnt available and i had to call and call this morning to finally speak to her. She pretty much told me"you need to have faith in our teachers,,,,blah, blah, blah and i am not going to switch teachers for your daughter"....i was so angry i hung up and called the school administator, he seemed more understanding and said he will talk to the principal and call me back....well he called back less than an hour later and told me he stands behind the principal's word....he also informed me i had a window of opportunity to submit my request for a teacher back in March-April,their idea of a request is a face to face meeting with the principal and a small interview.WELL, i informed him that i was not able to do that because i was driving to a city one hour away each day to take care of my grandfather who was recently widowed(grandma passed away January 30th,2004),he needed help with cooking,cleaning, laundry,etc,,,he has bad heart and was still greiving for god's sake!!!! Well he didnt seem to care that i did all that and couldnt make the request in person. So his attitude was "tough luck!".....This just isnt fair,i vowed i would stick up for my kids if they ever had troubles in school with teachers......my parents never did and i had some pretty mean teachers too....i swore i would never let my kids go thru that! This teacher is NOT the right one for my daughter,she has no patience and since she didnt care for me at all in high school,that she will take this out on my daugther(who looks just like me). My daugher is struggling with some learning disabilities that i feel this teacher will not handle very well.This is setting my IBS off big time today and im so angry that they wont listen to me,,,,DONT parents have the right to chose who is best for their child??????? Thank you for letting me vent,im just so upset today!
