Gerry, you're not dumb at all! If you means the lines on the page where you're reading all the messages in a thread I think that's just to make it more attractive. I really don't think the colors serve any other purpose.
And you should never worry about us thinking you're stupid, Gerry... you know the kind of things we share on this board.
