Whassup with border guards and cigarettes?!?
We're right on the Canadian border, and living in the same building with us here on one side we have an Immigration Officer. Underneath us is a Customs Agent. (He just bought that condo and moved in last weekend.) Both of these dudes are smokers!
Okay, so the new guy below us is young, single and very cute. (Jen, where are you?) He's a real neat-nick, and fixed up his little deck with hanging flower baskets and an American flag. Very lovely. Okay. So he likes to sit out there and enjoy watching the golfers while CHAIN-SMOKING those damn cigarettes of his. Apparently he doesn't want to smoke inside the condo, and I give him credit for that -- but our little deck is right above his, and the gentle breezes just blow all that smoke right up to our deck! ARGGGGH!
It's bad enough that we can't go out there and enjoy the view anymore, but for some reason the smoke just blows up and INTO our windows and doors. So we have to keep the place closed up. And, with the morning sun shining in all the windows and doors, it's getting pretty damn warm in here!
We had to go over to our storage facility and pull out our air conditioner and re-install it in the window to get some air. And we just stay inside all weekend, waiting for him to once again return to work during the week so we can open the place up and get some fresh air.
Okay, I'm done venting. Sorry folks, just needed to get that off my chest.
It's a helluva situation when a person can't even go out in the garden and eat worms!
