Hi all, First I want to say Thank You to everyone that wished me luck for today 'cause I sure did need it! (And you were right, Bev, I totally had the days wrong.. see what being unemployed for this long has done to me??) I read some of the messages this morning, right before I walked out the door and they made me feel better. When I first got there, I was 20 minutes early (my stupid watch was wrong) and it was all locked up so my boyfriend and I sat outside for a while and I was really panicking. I really felt like i needed a bathroom and like I would throw up and I was a mess. Once I got inside, and started saying Hello I was a bit better. The training was fine, I picked it all up really easily 'cause I've done so much waitressing and bar work in the past so that wasn't too stressful. The bad news is we have to keep all our stuff locked away in a room that is 2 floors up from the bar, so all my teas and pills and stuff were far away. I told one of the girls that I take medication often and might have to go and get it, and she said that was fine. (Everyone seems nice so far, thank God). I was sick twice in the morning, which was unpleasant but it coulda been worse. In the afternoon, it got a bit busier and I just tried to keep myself occupied for the rest of my shift so I wouldn't think about being sick. I have a buncha of "near panics" but they all went away in time. After work, a bunch of my friends and my boyfriend came in and ordered food so I ate with them. I ordered what I thought was a BBQ chicken tortilla wrap, but was actually a Bbq Chicken, Mozzarella and Ham wrap so I couldn't really eat any of it. I ate a bit, tried to just get some of the chicken and tortilla so I am hoping it was alright. Tomorrow I go to my GI appointment - yay. Next day at work = Thursday. Hopefully once I fall into a routine, I won't be getting as sick. Well, I will let you know if anything spectacular happens at my doc appointment. Thanks again for all the support! --Steph
