There is NOT a one, dispite what the claim is that will allow you not to pre-rinse the dishes off and have them come clean. They advertise a food disposal system, but in all of them it underperforms terribly. It's a gimmick.
Steph, the advise I wanted to add was, when you're watching pennies, by brand X, but put your money in a comprehensive long term service contract that covers parts, labor and service calls. That way it doesn't matter if a part goes out every 6 months and you have to replace it....you're not out anything.
If anyone lives in a hard water area, let me know. I have a trick that will extend the life of your dishwasher, and make your dishes come out sparkling, with out adding a drying additive.
